Friends,
In the fall of 2017 the Session endorsed the Christian Education Visioning Taskforce’s plan regarding the future of faith formation at PCPC. As a part of that plan, the CEVT lifted up the need of a designated staff person to focus in the area of Young Adults. The personnel committee in their work has continued to value that work as well, and has been able to move forward with the creation of an interim Fellowship Coordinator position.
We are excited that Anastasia Gaertner, a child of this church and now a young adult who’s returned to Tampa to work on a Master’s degree at the University of Tampa, has accepted this part-time interim position. Anastasia’s work will be focused in organizing and executing fellowship activities for PCPC young adults and in finding ways to connect the young adults to the larger learning and service opportunities happening at PCPC. She’ll be working about 40 hours a month between now and the end of May. She won’t have office space but you’ll begin to see her around the church and even in the office from time to time as a variety of tasks will call her here, as well as her name and email connected with young adult events. We wanted you to be aware of this work so that you can welcome her, encourage her, and begin to send young adults her way! You may reach her at anastasia@palmaceia.org.
Many thanks,
Pastors John and Nicole
