Jeanne Rowe has been a member of PCPC for 55 years and has been on the church staff since 1987. Jeanne is also an elder, started attending PCPC with her family at age 12, and was married to Vernon Rowe at PCPC in 1977. She has two children, Shane and Jenna Lee, and is blessed to have four grandchildren, all of whom live right here in Tampa— two girls and two boys, all under the age of six! Jeanne’s grandchildren bring her true joy!
Jeanne graduated from Academy of Holy Names High School, and went on to get her degree in Criminal Justice from USF. She started on staff at PCPC as a new mom with a 6-month-old and a 20-month-old. Jeanne helped her peers with their children and then their grandchildren.
Jeanne has an incredible talent for connecting with other people. From being a warm, smiling, and comforting face to young mothers as the Nursery Coordinator, to serving as the Christian Education Coordinator and Director of New Paths (a program created to help disadvantaged women start new lives and careers for themselves and their children), including many other important roles here at the church, Jeanne has had a bright and beautiful impact on this community.
We are happy to announce that Jeanne recently transitioned into a new position as the Older Adults Ministry Coordinator. Within this role, Jeanne serves as a key engager with older adults at PCPC and assists the pastors in caring for this community and coordinating programs for it.
Jeanne has really committed her life to Palma Ceia Presbyterian, and we are so thankful that she has taken this call to continue to share her gifts. Jeanne says, “My career at PCPC has been more than a career. It’s been a mission for me and a Circle of Life! I sincerely appreciate all the wonderful opportunities PCPC has offered me throughout the years, and I am looking forward to the years ahead. I am truly blessed!”
