A note from Youth Chaplain Kenny Hubbell, dated Jan. 5, 2021
Happy New Year!
We hope the holiday season offered you and your families some rest and quality time with each other!
The youth ministry at PCPC is back in full swing starting with youth group on Wednesday evening. We will continue with the same pattern that we left in December:
-Monday evening High School Bible study from 7:30-8:30pm via Zoom: (Email Kenny for the link: Ken@palmaceia.org)
-Wednesday evening Middle School Youth Group from 6:00-7:30pm in the outdoor area in front of the Fellowship Hall
-Wednesday evening High School Youth Group from 7:30-8:45pm in the outdoor area in front of the Fellowship Hall
-Sunday morning Formation X for middle schoolers from 10:00-10:45am via Zoom (Email Kenny for the link: Ken@palmaceia.org)
Finally, we recognize that a new year offers us a great opportunity to create new routines! 2020 was a hectic, challenging year for every single one of us. The collective spiritual life of the world surely ebbed and flowed in unique ways. In light of this reality, we thought it would be helpful to provide a year-long devotional to make 2021 a year to draw near to God. Each Sunday at noon (starting this past Sunday) we will post a new devotional to be used for the week ahead. It’s a quick, simple devotional that is meant to offer a connection point to our faith. This devotional is for EVERYONE — our middle school students, our high school students, our parents, and for younger children!
We hope y’all will utilize it in the ways you think is most effective. Maybe it’s a devotional you do as a family or maybe it’s a devotional that’s done individually! There’s not a wrong way to do it! We simply encourage y’all to check it out and see if it’s something that helps create intentionality in our relationships with God. https://pcpcyouth.com/2021-devotional Click the link to get there and simply “refresh” the page once a week to follow along with us through a spiritually meaningful year!
