Meditation is simply the practice of focusing your attention on a particular object such as breath, eye gaze, or a word/phrase. Every day your mind is constantly processing information — thoughts, emotions, interactions with the external world. With meditation, you can narrow your focus to limit the stimuli bombarding your nervous system and become calmer. Studies show that a regular meditation practice enhances concentration, lowers blood pressure, improves sleep, decreases anxiety and depression, increases productivity, and improves relationships at home and at work.
Michelle Hubbard will lead this workshop for anyone interested in learning the basics of meditation and how to start your own practice.
