I’m Still Here (Austin Channing Brown)

Sundays, August 23rd and 30th, at 10am on Zoom
Led by Kem Toole and Fay Rouseff-Baker

This two-week class will read through and discuss Austin Channing Brown’s memoir, I’m Still Here: Black Dignity in a World Made for Whiteness. Week one will focus on the first half of the book and discuss the Black experience in this country, particularly through the lens of Channing Brown’s story as a Black Christian in America. The second week we’ll discuss the book as a whole, focusing on how we as white Christians can respond to the Black experience by pursuing reconciliation and healing. Books can be purchased through Amazon and other booksellers. Email will@palmaceia.org to get on the class email list and receive the Zoom link.
