On Sundays, January 8, 15, and 22, 2023, PCPC will hold a 3-week class called “Covenantal Restoration.“
Oppression and racism have a painful past and present; they represent a separation of humanity from God. This 3-week series is an introductory exploration into faith and race. The aim of this course is to gain in self-awareness, to open ourselves to others’ experiences, and to grow in discernment of how God calls us to be in relationship with one another. In order to foster community and open dialogue this class will be hybrid (meaning you can participate in person by going to room Eastminster 307/308 or log on to Zoom), however this series will not be recorded.
Week 1: Jan. 8: Class led by Scott Stichter looks at the topic “Restoration of Relationship”
Week 2, Jan. 15: Fay Rouseff-Baker leads in looking at a sermon by Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. entitled ” Antidotes to Fear.”
Week 3, Jan. 22: Scott Stichter facilitates a conversation on “The Idol of Whiteness.”
