Palma Ceia Presbyterian Church’s ministry for children and their families is an essential element of PCPC’s Faith Formation Ministry where we are learning and growing together in Christ. The opportunities and programs offered throughout the year have been intentionally designed to assist the congregation in living out PCPC’s Faith Formation mission, vision, and values.
The Children’s ministry team at PCPC strives to provide the foundational building blocks of Christian faith for infants through upper elementary children. Our goal is to support your role as primary Christian Educators of your child(ren).
Nursery care is provided on the first floor of Eastminster throughout Sunday morning for children birth to three years old. As of August 2022, at least two nursery staff are first aid and infant, child, and adult CPR certified. Children in the Nursery will hear a Bible story and music which shares God’s love with them. Contact Allison Kelly, Dir. Children and Families, with questions: email@example.com.
Godly Play on Sunday mornings is a continuation of worship designed from a Montessori-based story-telling system for children ages Pre-K3-1st grade. All children begin worship with their families in the primary worship space and are welcome to remain throughout the service. Following the children’s message in each service children age three through first grade have the option of continuing worship with their peer group at Godly Play, located in Covenant Hall Room 101.
Parent/Guardians are asked to escort their children to the Godly Play room, Covenant Hall #101, where they will be welcomed by trained staff, at which time parents/guardians may return to worship. Contact Allison Kelly, Dir. Children and Families, with questions: firstname.lastname@example.org.
Worship Bags and Bulletins can be found at the entrance to each worship space. These are designed to engage children in the worship service and to aid adults worshiping with children in teaching them how to worship.
Justice Seekers is a bible study club for Fourth and Fifth graders to deepen their faith by exploring topics from Fellowship, Christian Living, Bible, and Mission & Service.
5:00pm: Music and Movement is a music experience offered for children infants through 3 years old and their parent/guardian on Wednesdays from 5:00 pm to 5:30 pm in Covenant Hall 101 (the Godly Play room).
5:00pm: Children’s Choirs – Click here for more information and ways for children to be involved in music ministries.

Stay Together Sundays take place the first Sunday of October, November, January, February, and May, encouraging children of all ages to stay together with the body for the entirety of worship. Logistically, this means there will be no Godly Play option on those Sundays as our hope is children ages 3 through 1st grade will worship with their families and participate in communion. Childcare will always be available in the nursery area.
