New 11 AM Contemporary Service_wide-t

New 11am Contemporary Service Starts February 12th

Over the past couple of years I’ve had a variety of youth, mostly high school students, tell me two things. First, they tell me how much they love worshipping in the contemporary service. Second, they tell me how hard it is to wake up at 9 am for the service. In light of this, the Contemporary Worship Planning Team met and began conversations about how to meet this need. The end result is something that I am very excited to announce: we are adding an 11 am contemporary worship service. It begins on Feb. 12.

Here’s some important info to keep in mind:
1. This service is open to everybody. Although we feel that 15-29 year olds will find the 11 am hour especially appealing, the service is open to anyone who prefers a later start time to their morning. Of course everyone is invited to come at 10am to start their Sunday with Adult Education or a childrens Sunday School class before the service.

2. The 9 am Contemporary Service will be the same as it is currently. Every Sunday morning contemporary worship will be offered at both 9 and 11 am in the contemporary worship space on the second floor of PCPC with similar formats; contemporary music, scripture, a message and fellowship.

3. We are working on getting the word out to the community about the new service and PCPC. We have recently begun passing out Invite Cards and they are available to pick up in the church office. The cards are designed to be given to someone who does not currently attend church, but might like to come so invite a friend or neighbor! We are going to send a mailer out to the surrounding neighborhoods the week before the service begins. The new service information is active on social media and will be sharing the news of this new service weekly.

Would you commit to praying for this service over the month of February? I strongly believe that God calls us to go and make disciples of all nations. Adding a more convenient service time is one way to do that. But it won’t happen without prayer and God’s guidance. Let us pray together that God will use this service to spread the good news of Jesus Christ throughout Tampa.
